Sam Karson is a member of the firm’s Washington, DC office where he practices in the firm’s top-ranked cross-border investment and national security group.

Sam advises clients on a range of issues related to U.S. national security, including representing clients before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). Sam also advises clients on emerging national security regulatory regimes, such as the Treasury Department’s newly issued rule regulating U.S. outbound investment. Sam draws upon his experience advising clients on the application of international trade controls, including export controls and economic sanctions laws and regulations administered by the U.S. Departments of State, Commerce, and Treasury.
